Picololo Holiday Rentals

It all started in the 1980’s when my parents bought a property on Caye Caulker. They brought the whole family down for a tropical Christmas, I was 9 years old at the time. From that moment, I knew where I wanted to live.

Fast-forward ten years and I make the permanent move from Canada to live on Caye Caulker. I had met my now-husband, Pike, a few years earlier (there’s always a love story!) and so we started our life together. In 2006 we built our home with two rentals on the ground floor, on the same property that my parents had bought some decades earlier.

I was a dive instructor and my husband was a water taxi captain. The rentals were a little bit of extra. Our first daughter, Lily was born in 2007. My mother, Judith Robinson, added a third rental to the business around 2010. Then came Airbnb and our business grew! We both retired from our day jobs and the rentals became our full-time job.

Our second daughter, Ayla, was born in 2016. We added a forth rental in 2019, just in time for the pandemic. We made it through and came out stronger on the other side! My mother died in 2022, at the age of 80 in the home that she’d bought on Caye Caulker in the ’80’s. On her terms. In 2023 we renovated her home and created the fifth rental, the "Ode to Jude".
